Camila del Villar

Camila is a partner of the Environmental Law and Sustainable Development practice of DLA Piper Martínez Beltrán. Her practice and comprehensive professional experience focus on the areas of environmental law, natural resources, and corporate sustainability, with special emphasis on the energy, chemical, agro-industrial, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors. She also advises government agencies and industrial associations, primarily, in the energy and chemical sectors.

Camila's professional career encompasses legal and public policy aspects of environmental nature such as licensing procedures and environmental permits, due diligence processes, project finance, environmental responsibility processes, prior consultation, as well as the management of hazardous materials and chemical substances. Likewise, she has extensive experience providing legal advice to clients from different economic sectors to identify and comply with regulatory and environmental requirements applicable to medium and large-scale projects.

Before joining DLA Piper Martínez Beltrán, Camila worked in the Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources practices of renowned Ibero-American and international firms. She has also participated as a lecturer in the Master of Public Administration at Los Andes University. She has participated as a speaker and moderator in multiple conferences of the business sector, as well as prestigious associations such as the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Industrialists (ANDI), the Colombian Oil and Gas Association (ACP), and the Colombo-American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Colombia).
